In this informal Zoom forum, New Hampshire's banking and credit union leaders will learn about the substantial federal investments being made to remove digital divide barriers of all kinds ion New Hampshire over the next five years, and explore together how best these might be leveraged to meet the financial inclusion, literacy and empowerment needs of NH's unbanked and underbanked individuals and families.
A brief panel discussion will provide an overview of digital equity investments coming to NH (e.g., affordable broadband to every street address in the state along with ramping up "digital navigator" training) and their relevance to banks' and credit unions' strategic priorities, followed by Q & A and brainstorming about best next steps to leverage digital equity resources for financial empowerment.
Panelists include:
* Kristy Merrill, executive director, New Hampshire Bankers Association
* Ken Sheldon, New hampshire state president, Bank of America
* Bob McLaughlin, executive director, NCDE
Please note that this January 25th Zoom forum will be followed by an action-planning strand for NH's banking leaders at the NH Leadership Summit on Digital Equity: Strengthening Access to Broadband, Computers and Support at Manchester Community College on March 14, 2025. Details about the summit will be shared prior to and during this Zoom forum on January 25th.
